Sensei is a project developed under 24 hours for a Hackathon competition hosted by Robohacks.
Sensei is a remote controlled rover capable of disposing dangerous substances on various surfaces applicable on Earth or other planets. The operator can control the rover through a base station and with visual feedback through a First Person View goggle.
The robot has an FPV camera mounted on a servo for a wider field of view. On the otherside, the operator’s head is tracked with a gyro/compass sensor controlling the angle on the on board camera. The base station and rover are connected via Bluetooth through Arduinos to facilitate the development and testing process. A second servo motor is placed on the rover to hold the substance. The mechanical, electrical and software was all designed, manufactured and coded by the team.
