Flying Head – Remake is a remake of Flying head: head-synchronized unmanned aerial vehicle control for flying telepresence by Keita Higuchi and Jun Rekimoto. This project demonstrates the augmentation of Human capabilities by projecting the user’s vision and movements to a UAV with the help of present technology. Therefore, the individual can move freely in the open space without any gravity constraints nor size.
The project was developed mainly on Unity Game engine in tangent with HTC Vive for the tracking and VR environment. Additionally, an Android App was created for the communication between the DJI’s Mavic Pro quadcopter and the PC server.
